During the winter, reverse your ceiling fan motor so that the blades push air up towards the ceiling. The fan will drive the warm air back down around the edges of the room, resulting in more even heating.
It's also a good idea to check all windows and doors now for air leaks, you don't want to heat the outdoors. Place a thick bead of caulk around any windows that need it and replace weather stripping around drafty doors. ~Sandy
